So, I had a boot tragedy of sorts this weekend. All autumn long, I've been coveting the Loeffler Randall Elka boot in midnight blue ($619, www.shopbop.com):

Finally, ready to pull the trigger, I tried them on at Intermix in Soho on Saturday, only to, quite literally, get stuck in the boot. As there is no zipper or elastic gusset, friction - and the hot, hot lights in store - were working against me. Thankfully, a very pleasant sales girl put my good friend and I in a private room, where she proceeded to leverage her weight on my kneecap and pull the boots off with a Wonder Woman-like display of force.
So, saddened by the loss of my Elkas, I consoled myself today with the Delman Roxette ($295, www.intermixonline.com). Va va voom, I say!
