Diamond studs. Hoop earrings. Cocktail rings. Pearl Necklaces. What do these goodies have in common?
They're fashion perennials, classics that never (no, never) go out of style.
Since beginning my career at Girlshop back in the day, I've been a huge jewelry fan. I often wear the most basic clothes imaginable and then do my very best to spice up the look with fab jewelry, a great bag and knockout shoes. Not too original, I know but hey, it works!
Lately though, I've been embracing the classics. I recently invested in my first pair of diamond studs and I can't get enough of classic gold & silver hoops and cocktail rings in every hue. I'm also digging on traditional pearl jewelry - it feels ladylike and chic but depending on the item that you choose, it can also be contemporary and modern.
So when http://www.pearl-necklace-jewelry.com/ contacted me about doing a sponsored post, I was thrilled to check out the site. I should add that they're a brave crew - they agreed that I could give my honest opinion on the ecommerce site from top to bottom. Here's my feedback, not only as a blogger but as a marketing professional.
The Pros:
- A classic assortment
- Wide variety
- Wholesale (read: awesome!) prices
- Free shipping
- 5% discount for subscribing to their mailing list (see the right hand column)
The Cons:
- They need a real name, a branding identity. I'm not certain if the average shopper would care but as a marketing professional, it's hard for me to accept that the site doesn't even have a real name.
- The images on site simply don't do the jewelry justice. Jewelry is difficult to light and a good photographer and great pics make all the difference in the world.
That said, I can always find something to covet. Tops on my list is the Black Pearl Necklace (above) - it feels edgy but classic. If you're into more traditional pearls, visit their broad selection of Pearl Necklace or check out the Freshwater Pearl Necklace.
Have you ever ordered pearls on line? What site did you choose and how was your experience? Tell me about it in the comments below!

it's great that they put the grade of pearl on there, but some of the ratings aren't good at all! the single pearl earrings are of a good rating, but the necklaces are very poor. that explains the low prices.
