WWD brings us the rumor today that design wunderkund Alexander McQueen will be the next designer to commit to a TargetGo International collection. McQueen has previously collaborated with Samsonite on a collection of gothic inspired luggage (which I am STILL coveting) and with Puma on a collection of stylish trainers.
Re: Target...a spokeswoman for McQueen declined comment, which generally serves as an affirmation, of course. It'll be interesting to see what such an avant garde designer creates for the mass brand as previous Go International collaborators like Alice Temperley, Luella Bartley and Richard Chai had much more accessible collections as a starting point.
