An Ode to Beautiful (and Painful Shoes)

It's a big misconception that flat shoes are comfortable by default.  Take these luscious J.Crew flats that I irrationally purchased last Fall.

I was dying to break them out again (temps are apparently going to reach 60 this weekend in NYC) until I remembered that they are among the most UNcomfortable shoes that I own.  They're flat, yes but the cut of the shoe is actually AGONIZINGLY uncomfortable. Yet they're so gorgeous, I can't give up on them.

Anyone know how to stretch satin? HELPZ!

Unfortunately I don't know how to help you. BUT ... those are so cute! Maybe you can just put bandaids all around your feet in the hopes that they won't be all cut up at the end of the day?

Those ARE cute shoes! And that's exactly why I don't wear flats. If my feet are going to hurt, I at least want it to be because I'm in heels! Have you tried the Bliss Problem Salved? It can help with the rubbing.

Hey Jamie - I may try bandaids or some moleskin, we shall see! Anne, that is a great suggestion. I have a tube of Problem Salved but keep forgetting to try it on my heels, etc. Will do!

I loved these shoes, too, but J.Crew shoes do not fit my feet well. I was so sad because I love the feather detail on them!
