Read This: Isaac Mizrahi's How to Have Style

Creative Director of Liz Claiborne. Couture Designer. High-low innovator. Isaac Mizrahi is a man of many talents when it comes to style and he's always happy to share them with the world.

Released late last year, “How to Have Style” is a fashion book about inspiration. Unlike many style guides or how-to books, it eschews covering the basics, i.e. colors that match or silhouettes that balance one another. Instead, it's based on Isaac’s belief that inspiration and the things that resonate uniquely with you are the key to creating a personal fashion style.

Each of the 12 case studies (read: makeovers) address a different style challenge, be it shopping on a budget, learning to wear colors or dressing a plus-sized figure. If you're anything like me, you may see glimpses of yourself and your own style in several of the women.  I was inspired to take the fashion questionnaire (included) and to create my OWN inspiration board (in process) in order to begin refreshing my style for Fall (for the record, I'm guilty of buying too many duplicate and similar styles, shapes and colors!).

If your look could use a bit of Isaac's wisdom, pick up a copy of How to Have Style at your local bookstore or via www.amazon.com.

Nice, thanks. There are so many fashion books out there, it's hard to know what to pick sometimes, and it's nice to have a recommendation. I could use some tips on how to wear color... black's-just-so-easy! lol
