It's that time again. No, not the time for broken resolutions...it's engagement time of year. Did you know that the vast majority of proposals and engagements take place each year between Thanksgiving and Valentine's Day? Now, I don't know about you but I personally have two friends that have gotten engaged in the past few weeks and I think there's at least one more proposal on the horizon.
As a friend, your duty during a friend's engagement is clear - put up with the bride's many (and I DO mean "many") wedding-related decisions, including the most important one of all...her dress! I'm a big enough girl to admit that I love shopping for wedding dresses (in fact, I'm guilty of playing dress-up in store just for fun.)
At this point, though there's no wedding on the horizon for me (that's the understatement of the year), I do have a crystal clear idea of the kind of wedding dress that I'd be most comfortable in - I'm thinking sleek, modern, sophisticated and simple, i.e. this gorgeous silk charmeuse strapless gown by Priscilla of Boston. It's chic enough for a city wedding, but would look just as lovely in a vineyard or on the beach.
But enough about me! What was/is/will YOUR wedding style be?

This is definitely more my style as well. I like clean, elegant dresses. Although at this point I'm not sure I'm getting married but if I do, I might borrow this dress idea from you. :)
