Though one of the mega trends this Spring is undoubtedly color, glorious COLOR, before the amaze Chris from Court & Hudson came into the office rocking pink jeans, I wasn't QUITE sold on the idea of color on my bottom (read: larger) half. But...despite the fact that Chris is a dreamy, tall, waifish thing, SOMETHING about the confidence and energy of her look wooed me, and approximately 1.5 minutes later, I was forced to snag the totes TDF, bold, and bright J Brand skinnies seen above.
If you're wavering on color as I was, a bright blue is definitely the easiest way to acclimate to a bold hue as it's closest to traditional denim. And while this is just the 2nd time I've worn my smashing new Bright Royal skinnies, I'm predicting that they'll be a go-to staple in my spring/summer wardrobe this year. They're just too easy to dress up or down, and pair as easily with neutrals (as I did today) as they do with color (I plan to pair with a new kelly green Zara blazer in the near future for a wholly ostentatious color-blocking play.)
Head to toe, here's what I wore today:
- Tom Ford Anouk Sunglasses (no longer available, try eBay here)
- Alexis Bittar Crystal Encrusted Rose Gold Large Pinched Oval Earring (Gold available here)
- MAC Gladiola Lipstick (gift of Style It; no longer available, other bold hues here)
- Balenciaga Giant Day Bag in Electric Turquoise (no longer available, other colors here)
- Loeffler Randall Nude Silk Chiffon Pocket Blouse
- J Brand Mid-Rise Skinny Leg in Bright Royal
- Nine West wedges (no longer available, other NW wedges here)
Are you integrating any bold color into your wardrobe this season? Do tell all in the comments.
