I'm not PRONE to spontaneous aneurysms, per se, but when they occur, it's IMPACTFUL. My most recent aneurysm was Jenna Lyons-induced and occurred in the J.Crew store located on Prince and Mercer (in case you were wondering). Resulting from said aneurysm was a J. Crew purchase of just under $300, and seen above, from (essentially) head to toe .
The STAR of this ensemble in my eyes (the eyes that matter most to me, to be clear) is clearly the Café Capri, a cropped wool trouser that leans STRIKING thanks to the insane-in-the-membrane color, dubbed Bright Dahlia. It's the perfect medley of fuschia and purple, and pairs most perfectly with navy, nudes, and whites, as seen above.
Surprisingly, the relaxed insouciance of the trouser silhouette lends itself as easily to being dressed DOWN as it does being dressed UP. If you're raising a brow at me via the INTERNET (yes, I see you through there), just TRUST ME when I say that paired with a glittering oxford and a simple navy tee, these pants look nothing short of magical.
Head to toe, here's what I wore:
- Ray-Ban Original Wayfarer Sunglasses
- Kimberly McDonald Geode & Diamond Earrings (gift)
- J.Crew Blythe Blouse in Silk
- La Mer Collections Wrap Watch (Similar here)
- Balenciaga Giant Silver City in Outremer (no longer avail, other colors here)
- J. Crew Skinny Calf Hair Belt in Grey Black Leopard
- J. Crew Café Capri in Bright Dahlia
- Miu Miu bejeweled and bedazzled t-straps (past season, no longer available)
