On Trend: Colour Blocking

Colour blocking, as seen above in a sweet Aqua skirt, continues to be one of the BIGGEST and BOLDEST  trends of the year, and with spring finally within reach, it’s set to be even more popular. Caveat emptor, however, as colour blocking requires more than style, it requires a healthy dose of confidence.

Admittedly, I'm not exactly lacking in that arena, but if you're feeling faint-hearted, the simplest way to incorporate bold colour in your wardrobe is via a bright shoe, a la a bright pair of Converse Chuck Taylors, these wicked colourful Adidas sandals or the FCUK Ellie flip flops in pink - perfect for the Bikini Boot Camp I've got slated into the calendar.

If you’re looking for an alternative way to wear colour blocking, try a boldly coloured boot. I'm currently reliving my youth in a pair of Dr. Marten’s lace up boots, and in green or pink, you'll make a statement without saying a single word.

Finding the right colour combinations for you is the key to colour blocking successfully - try mixing, matching or even clashing colours, depending on your comfort level. Tell me, how do you incorporate colour in your wardrobe?
