The world of fashion suffered another loss today as Liz Claiborne, founder of the eponymous empire, died at age 72. Claiborne was a pioneer in designing reasonably priced, yet quality clothing for working women.
"In losing Liz Claiborne, we have not only lost the founder of our company, but an inspirational woman who revolutionized the fashion industry 30 years ago," said Bill McComb, CEO of Liz Claiborne, in a statement.

This woman indirectly touched my life. I used her perfume while in college. That's where I met and married the man of my dreams! Was it the perfume? Just kidding, but a great memory just the same. God bless her family.
