The Metropolitan Musuem of Art's Costume Exhibits are an absolute must for even casual fashion lovers. And now, the Museum is stepping boldly into the 21st century with a new exhibit, blog.mode: addressing fashion, on view Dec. 18 to April 13.

blog.mode: addressing fashion will include pieces acquired by the Costume Institute over the last seven years, including work by Azzedine Alaïa, Helmut Lang, Christian Dior, Comme des Garçons, Rudi Gernreich and Yohji Yamamoto among others. Ten computer terminals will be added to the Costume Institute galleries to allow bloggers immediate access to a Costume Institute blog to post their thoughts, reviews and criticisms.

According to WWD, the blog will be monitored daily by museum staff and remain open through the exhibit, eventually being excerpted in the official show catalog following the exhibit.
