This just in via WWD, one of my designer crushes, Christian Francis Roth, will be returning to the fashion world next season with the Francis by Christian Francis Roth collection.
The Spring 2009 collection will be unveiled at a presentation during New York Fashion Week this September, and "will be positioned between the upper-end contemporary and entry-level designer tiers."
A fashion editor's darling in the late '80's and early '90's thanks to iconic looks like the ones below, Roth has been flying under the radar and designing for a few mass and department store brands since his signature line folded.
Jewelry designer Wendy Brandes must be a friend of CFR's and I pulled these fab images of some iconic Roth designs from her personal blog.
I'll be interested to see how Roth's talent translates to 2009!
