Fashion photography is iconic to me; it's about the art more than the clothes. I recently remembered one of my favorite features ever, an Alice in Wonderland themed shoot in Vogue's December 2003 issue.
Shot by Annie Leibovitz, model Natalia Vodianova takes on the guise of Alice, while many of the most influential designers of our generation appear as Alice's supporting cast of characters including the Mad Hatter and the Cheshire Cat.
Here are just a few of my fave images from the shoot...to see the full slideshow, visit this link.
Tom Ford's White Rabbit falls down the rabbit hole with Alice in tow.
The insane yet fabulous Karl Lagerfeld for Chanel Haute Couture.
Moody Nicolas Ghesquiere of Balenciaga.
Quirky Viktor & Rolf as Tweedledum & Tweedledee.
Gorgeous Olivier Theyskins (here for Rochas) as Alice author Louis Carroll.
