New York Fashion Week: Backstage Beauty at Marchesa

The look was young and untamed for the models featured in the Marchesa presentation yesterday at the Chelsea Art Museum. To coincide with Marchesa’s collection, full of ethereal, fairy-inspired looks, the beauty team was hard at work creating a look that was equally magical.

Harry Josh, lead stylist for John Frieda, was busy leading his team of stylists in achieving a look that can only be described as whimsical and youthful. In this video, he explains the vision for the Marchesa presentation looks, and explains how he and his team achieved this look using John Frieda's Root Awakening Line.

NARS makeup artist Talia Shobrook wanted the makeup to appear young and as if the models had just woken up in the forest. The goal was eyebrows that were messy, a face that was dewy and fresh, and lips that were innocent and fairytale-like.
