I am ALL about the idea of losing weight while still eating the foods I love. One food that I unequivocally love is the cookie. So, when I heard about Dr. Sanford Siegal's Cookie Diet, my hopes were high.
These "specia" cookies contain a secret blend of amino acids and food proteins and can be used as either a meal substitute (eat 1-2, each are about 90 calories) or a snack. There are several flavors are available so no matter your preference - chocolate chip or oatmeal raisin (and beyond) - you're bound to find something that you like. But of course, the big question is...how do they taste?
Well, there's good news and bad. I'll give you the bad news first so that you have something to look forward to. These definitely don't taste like your mama's cookies. They're not particularly sweet and the consistency is somewhere between soft and crispy with an oddly substantive yet light feel. Confusing, right?
Now, the good news - they ARE legitimately effective at satiating hunger and while they aren't a great equivalent for Mrs. Fields, they taste OKAY.
