Truth be told, I find it hard to get it up for e-com launch announcements. I mean, it IS, after all 2011 - is it REALLY news when a brand launches their own e-commerce? In the case of Elie Tahari, yes.

Featuring exclusive product designed especially for the web, including the silver fox fur Samara vest, calf leather Emma Jacket and a special navy crocodile handbag collection, ElieTahari.com was designed specifically to showcase the elaborate detail and fine workmanship that the designer is best known for - in other words, think large (giant! huge!) product images, enhanced zoom, alternate views, rad color swatches and a quick-shop experience, all designed to help you part with your money in the blink of an eye (no regrets, baby!)

Mr. Tahari himself (who's a DELIGHT, in case you were wondering) will curate a monthly page called “Elie Loves,” featuring his favorite pieces from the collection. Another initiative, for Pre-Fall 2012, will offer lucky shoppers the chance to design their own handbag by choosing the fabrication, interior pocket design, and color, for delivery during the Fall 2012 season.
