Sometimes, the only thing that soothes the pain of a Monday morning is a Virtual Shopping Break. Today's destination? One of my faves, actually - ASOS, the British online megastore with an incredible assortment of both designer and private label collections. ASOS excels particularly in trends and expanded sizes - anyone, be they petite or plus-sized, can find the latest and greatest styles. Here's what's in my cart this afternoon:
- It's not yet party season, but as goes the Boy Scout mantra: BE PREPARED. This easy, petite-sized LBD ($136.24) is stepped up several significant notches thanks to the swishy feather skirt. It's sexy, yet feminine and I can imagine myself reaching for it time and time again this fall.
- It's a major misconception that one piece bathing suits can't be sexy. Take, for example, the ASOS Plunge Backless Swimsuit ($59.61). This striking navy halter walks the line between revealing and covered up quite nicely, though admittedly it will work best on small-busted beauties.
- Sometimes, all it takes is a great belt to elevate a look. I'm loving the Kissin Birds Belt ($30.65) from Warehouse - gold makes it a neutral, while the birds are sweetly whimsical and a little boho.
- Last but never least, every girl needs a wardrobe of stud earrings, if only to balance out a collection of statement necklaces (GUILTY!) This set of 9 pairs from River Island is a value that can't be beat at just $17.03 - even if you pass along a few pairs to a friend.
