I'm often a late adopter to trends, but a recent convo with my pal Sarah of Style It Online convinced me that I needed to experiment with my style a bit more. As such, I've made a few recent acquisitions to mix things up, including the J.Brand Houlihans AND the Uniqlo + Velvet cropped harem pants seen above.
Before you get wild and crazy judging my pants, let me just say that though notably insane, they have a lot of things going for them.
First and foremost, they're comfortable. My tush has NEVER felt so free. Secondarily, they're surprisingly chic. Last, but certainly not least, they were REMARKABLY inexpensive, ringing in at just $19.50. For the record, that's just $7.50 more than the Margarita I drank last night. With a price point like that, I feel okay investing (I use the word loosely) in a trend that will inevitably come and go.
Head to toe:

I dig the pantaloons. A lot. I don't know why people gotta hate on the harems... with heels, they are kind of elegant in my opinion. And diaper-friendly! (Not that I wear a diaper.)
See, I tried these on and they looked horrible on me but they look CUTE on you. Well done. Maybe I should go back and try them with a different top. LOVE Uniqlo + Velvet! Looking good, D!
I'm obsessed with your outfit! Looks so cute on you. I love that harem pants were created because I don't have to worry about anything when I wear them. :)
Okay, you make me think that I need to rethink the harem pant but I'm a bit curvier than you. But hey, I can at least try them on right?
You should try some on! It's fun to experiment and if they don't work for you, it's no harm, no foul.

I love Uniqlo and think that look suits you so well! Love those harem pants - they'd go so well with simple printed t-shirts.
Can I just say...I LOVE how your personality comes out in your posts! So much fun to read.
