The little black dress (LBD, natch) is sort of...fashion's equilibrium. It's entirely timeless, inevitably available in a silhouette that's appropriate for every woman in the free world and generally speaking, if you don't have one in your closet, you're left at a loss on what to wear at least once per month. Though it is clearly not a dress, I feel similiarly towards NARS' Alahambra Duo Eyeshadow.
This uber-pigmented (and soft!) diptych of color includes universally flattering shades of rose gold and a golden champagne. Both brighten the eyes immeasurably, and provide THE perfect foil to a bold lip (generally, my makeup look of choice). Try using the brand's Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base ($29) to anchor Alahambra, and you'll see that glow last allllll day.
