While I've always been a jewelry person, I've not always been a watch person. I have a mini wardrobe of trend-driven and oversized styles, but for some reason, they just haven't felt right in several seasons. So, it only made sense to add something a little smaller and a lot more ladylike to the mix, something like the Jolie, a chic new bracelet watch from Citizen.
Just introduced for Spring, the Jolie is pretty and petite (like me?), and fits in precisely with this season's retro-feminine trend. Better yet, the Jolie is powered by light (so modern!) and thereby, eco-friendly - I'll never have to throw out batteries again (perfect, since I'm so lazy about these things).
You'll soon be able to shop Citizen online, but until there, try Kay Jewelers, where the Jolie Eco-Drive is ringing in at just $243.75.

G-Shock + Eminem: A 30th Anniversary for the Books
I get to do some pretty major things as a blogger, at this point, and for that I'm very grateful. Last night was one for the books as G-Shock kicked off their 30th anniversary year with an event at the Hammerstein Ballroom. While DJ Drama and hip hop supergroup-of-sorts Slaughterhouse were billed, special guest Eminem also performed a full set - snap above from my position about 4 rows back from the stage.
Apparently, Em will be collaborating with G-Shock on a special edition watch in 2013. For more deets, stay connected to G-Shock on Facebook.

OOTD: What To Wear When You're MELTING
GUYS. WTF. It's 102 DEGREES OUTSIDE, with a 115 degree heat index. I literally feel like my entire head is melting, and despite the fact that I have a J-O-B, I wore the smallest amount of silk possible today to combat the heat, namely the Twelfth Street by Cynthia Vincent Cross Front Romper seen above.
I have a newfound obsesh (as my friend Amber would say) with silk rompers...they're soooo easy to wear, so comfy and inexplicably sexy. Okay, perhaps it's not entirely inexplicable, as there's a lot of leg happening with said rompers, but STILL. It's love. Like romantic love. If it were socially acceptable for me to marry a silk romper, I MIGHT. I digress, let's move on, etc.
Head to Toe:
- Tom Ford Anouk Sunglasses (Discontinued style, find on eBay here)
- Gold Lariat with Emerald Details
- Hermes Medor Watch (discontinued color)
- Twelfth Street by Cynthia Vincent Cross Front Romper
- Vintage Leather Belt
- Loeffler Randall Vivan Lace Up Wedge
What do you wear when you're melting? Tell me everything; I'm running out of rompers.

The Fashion Bucket List: CHANEL J12 Marine Watch
My Fashion Bucket List is a concept that I take VERY seriously. Housed on my phone and on my person at all times is a list of everything and anything fashion-related that I aspire to buy before dying.
While I don't want to reveal my entire hand, I will say that included in that list is the CHANEL J12 Marine watch in white, with blue bezel (above, $4,700.)
While others may live and die by Rolex or Cartier, I adore the clean crispness of this timepiece and assuming I forgo eating for the next few months, I may actually cave and snag one of my own in the very near future.
If you're tempted, visit a CHANEL Fine Jewelry Boutique near you to purchase.
