Oz, The Great and Powerful Wants to Sell Me Things (and I Want To Buy Them)

Disney's Oz, The Great and Powerful hits theatres this week, and I, for one, can't WAIT. In fact, I'm almost bummed to have Dita von Teese tickets for Friday night, because it means I have to wait an extra day to see the movie. Thankfully, there are a few killer product tie-ins to tide me over in the meantime.

• HSN's insanely expansive and wonderous Oz collection includes merch from a BEVY of fashion and home designers, including Timeless by Naeem Khan (I'm kicking myself for missing out on this Feather Skirt, $179.90, now waitlisted), A by Adrienne Landau (practical or not, I'm sort of in love with this Feather Shrug, $169.90), and Raven by Raven Kauffman (this incredible leather clutch is $395) as well as some exclusive beauty bounty, like the DL & Company Whimsical Breeze Glass Diffuser ($30), packed beautifully in a balloon-adorned box.
• Last but not least is the 7-piece Nail Color Collection by OPI. Included in the mix are 3 new glitters, 3 sheer neutrals and 1 new Liquid Sand polish, which offers up a textured matte finish. I was surprised to see nary a glittering green or red in the mix, but regardless there are some beautifully whimsical shades and some layer-perfect glitters. Snag for $8.50 each at Beauty of a Site.

Another year is coming to a close, and I'll be spending the day celebrating with friends and thinking about what's to come in 2013. In the meantime, enjoy one of my favorite snaps of the season, a glimpse at the Bergdorf Goodman, BG Follies-themed holiday windows. Those staggeringly beautiful gowns are by Mr. Naeem Khan and if I die without an occasion to wear a dress THAT lovely, it will be a shame.

Mark Your Calendars: Naeem Khan Tissavel Tiger Faux Fur Collection for HSN

Designer Naeem Khan's evening gowns and cocktail dresses are a thing of immense BEAUTY, and those are not words that I throw around lightly. So, imagine my anticipation when I heard that the designer was working on a faux fur collection for the peeps at HSN, as a follow up to the successful launch of Timeless, which sold out within MINUTES of airing.

And, thankfully, my (admittedly high) expectations were MET. The mood at last night's press and VIP preview in Naeem's Garment District showroom was nothing short of HIGH GLAMOUR and timeless Old Hollywood-style chic.  The Faur Fur collection (produced in partnership with Tissavel Tiger, a highly respected faux fur manufacturer) includes accessories, coats, jackets, and shrugs that mixed effortlessly with the designer's signature collection. Even style doyenne Iris Apfel (in attendance) seemed to approve. The collection will be priced (to MOVE) between $89.90 -$999.

Emmy's 2009: Best Dressed

The highlight of any award show is undoubtedly the red carpet arrivals and the Emmy's are no different.  Here are a few of my favorites this year...

Padma Lakshmi has an unfair advantage (being Padma Lakshmi and all) but regardless, she looks spectacular in a couture gown by Badgley Mischka and jewelry from her own collection.

This is not the finest photo of Mila Kunis arriving at the Emmy's, but it doesn't erase the fact that her deep red tulle dress by Monique Lhuillier is a stunner!

Perrey Reeves of Entourage was a vision in a sleek and shimmery Naeem Khan gown.
