Healthy Snacks on Lock: Graze Box Reviewed

At this stage of my life, it's important for both my health and emotional well-being that I have snacks on me at all times. In fact, it's an ususual day that I can be found without a stash of nuts or dried fruits in my tote at the very least. So, when graze hit my radar, my interest was piqued. Currently invite-only, graze is a snack-delivery service, offering up four single-serve, healthy snacks for just $5/week delivered.

But graze snacks aren't just healthy - they're also quite delicious. After becoming a member, you can view available snacks on site and rate those that pique your interest, which means that each box is tailored to suit your tastes, be they savory or sweet. My favorites to date have been the very nori-ish (a mix of Japanese seaweed crackers ringing in at 59 calories) and the Jaffa Cake (which included orange-infused raisins, hazelnuts and dark chocolate buttons at about 218 calories).

If you'd like to learn more about graze, explore their site here. For an invitation to join (you'll get your first box free and I'll get a $1 credit), email me at eye4style (at) gmail (dot) com - I have six codes available!

UPDATE: ALL INVITE CODES HAVE BEEN CLAIMED, SORRY GUYS!

For Jewelry Lovers: Bevel Trunk Shows

I often talk here of my love of jewelry - I have an astounding amount but somehow, inexplicably, I'm always in the market for more. It's the junkie in me, I suppose. I was recently intro-d to Bevel, a new shopping destination that offers limited time online trunk shows featuring some of the finest independent jewelry designers around.

Take LYRALOVESTAR. Designed by Celebrity Stylist Crystal Streets, this striking collection of jewelry includes the Siri Pave Edged Crescent Earrings seen here on yours truly. Streets says that the collection - named for her daughter Lyra -is inspired by all things celestial (you can see the sleek crescent moon shape on the earrings above, for example) and that she designs for the 'fashion forward woman who lives in the moment, looks to the future, and believes in the power of passion and determination to make her dreams come true'. I can relate...can you?

LYRALOVESTAR's Trunk Show will go live exclusively on Bevel, this Wednesday, December 19. RSVP HERE to gain access to shop (or use code  NYC150), and stay tuned for a very special giveaway I'll be hosting later this week as part of Bevel's 12 Days of Christmas campaign!

I Bought a Sleep Romper, and I'm Not Ashamed

When it comes to fashion, rompers are my dirty little secret. I have a wardrobe of onesies, ranging from casual to festive. In FACT, I even encouraged REQUIRED guests of my birthday party last year to partake in the trend. SO, when I spied the sweet yet sexy Cheeky Lace Romper on subscription-based site Intimint, I had to cave. I mean, a sleep romper? What could be more impractical? More importantly, what could be more DELIGHTFUL?

I wasn't sure what to expect from Intimint, and with a price tag of just $39.98, I didn't have high hopes. But I was pleasantly surprised when my package arrived just a few days after ordering, packaged sweetly and with a lovely little gift - a lingerie bag, and a 10% off code good for my next purchase. Even better, the fabric (a silky smooth rayon) felt luxe and comfy, and the romper is well-constructed. After trying on in the comfort of home, I immediately logged back into the site to snag the alternate colorway before it sold out - a French maid-feeling black and white.

If you'd like an invitation to shop Intimint, click here. Once you're a member, you can even earn Rewards Points, redeemable for credits and discounts valid on any of the Mint sites - Shoemint, Beachmint or Jewelmint.

Shop This: Rue La La's The Gifts You Didn't Get Boutique

We've all had it happen. Shop This: Rent the Runway

I'm not a big proponent of the bag rental services that have popped up in recent years, the Avelles and Bag, Borrow & Steals of the world. As far as I'm concerned, if you're going to spend up to $200 a month for a bag rental, you may as well save your money for a while and invest in a bag that you own and can love for years to come. That said, there's a new fashion rental service in town and this one, I must admit, has some merit.

Meet Rent the Runway. This clever new site specializes in gorgeous special occasion dress rentals, from designers like Diane von Furstenberg (above), Robert Rodriguez, Christian Siriano, Proenza Schouler and so many more.

Unlike a designer bag that you can carry everyday, a cocktail dress might hang in your closet for months without being worn. So for me, it makes sense to rent a dress for that special occasion - especially when Rent the Runway makes it so easy.  Prices are affordable (rentals start at $50) and you can shop by occasion - think Girls' Night Out, New Year's Eve, or Birthday.

Best of all, you're shipped an alternate size dress at no cost, along with a clever Fit Kit that includes double sided tape, braza (changes your bra to a racer back), deodorant, stain removal sponges and breath mints.  Shipments arrive within 3-4 days throughout most of the US, while same day delivery is available in Manhattan.

Once you've knocked them dead, returns are just as simple. Simply pop the dresses in the prepaid envelope included in your package, no dry cleaning required. Easy-peasy!

If you'd like an invitation to join Rent the Runway, visit www.renttherunway.com/bh.

    Happy renting!
