Snacktastic: Chobani SoHo
I'm an irresponsible worker-outer, if there can be such a thing. I often hit my weekend classes at best tired, at worst hungover, and almost definitely hungry. So, when I leave class, I'm desperate for a delicious brunch, but at the same time, hoping not to undo all of the goodness experienced in a class like Bar Method (my workout du jour today, for example.)
Solution: Chobani's GENIUS (a word I do not use lightly) Yogurt Bar. Conveniently located at Prince and West Broadway, the Chobani Yogurt Bar takes the brand's already-delicious and healthy Greek yogurt add adds fresh toppings to create what is essentially my dream snack. Seen above is one of my favorites - the Peanut Butter & Jelly - which includes not only the obvious ingredients, but also fresh sliced grapes and half peanuts. Another that I love is the Cucumber & Olive Oil, which, with it's fresh sea salt, perfectly satisfies my salty cravings. Yum!
It's almost impossible to miss with a flavor at Chobani, but if you're in the market for experimentation, be sure to try the newest concoction, which is Smoked Salmon & Dill - yogurt topped with cold smoked Atlantic salmon, fresh dill, salt, pepper, extra virgin olive oil and a splash of lemon juice, complete with a side of crunchy “everything” bagel chips for dipping.
Learn more about Chobani SoHo here, and the next time you're in the neighborhood and tasty for a healthy snack, stop by!

Going Full Kardashian or Organic Spray Tanning at The Spa at Trump SoHo, Reviewed
I've long been an advocate of embracing my natural, fair complexion, but when pressed, I'm forced to admit that I look damn good with a tan - healthy, slim and wow, do my blue-green eyes pop. Thusly, the narcissist in me simply cannot LIVE without a tan, though the narcissist in me also plans to age gracefully. SO, when presented with the option of lying poolside or stripping down to a paper g-string and positioning myself in the line of fire (airbrush gun only, of course), the choice is simple.
Enter The Spa at Trump SoHo, a luxe and relaxing sanctuary tucked away on the 7th floor of the chic downtown hotel. Whether you're looking to pre-game for a beach vacation, prepping for a special event or simply require a gorgeous glow to go about your daily life, the spa's Organic Spray Tanning treatment ($90) delivers. After a speedy 30-minute session last week, I was left with a dark and healthy-looking tan that was delivered in the healthiest way possible - via a formula made from all organic ingredients, including aloe vera, jojoba seed oil and vitamins E and D. The signature sunless tanning smell that we've all come to loathe and disdain was minimal, and I was left looking like an honorary Kardashian sister for a full 7+ days. The tan faded gradually over the course of the week, and best of all, the natural formula stayed PUT, and didn't stain clothing, sheets or towels.

Guest Man Correspondent: The Straight Leg Reviews The New Frye Flagship Store
Though I'll RARELY to NEVER admit it (bookmark this post, bitches), sometimes it helps to have a male point of view. And that's where writer Matt Brand - sartorial master (this man wears seersucker without a TRACE of irony, y'all), dating and relationships "expert" (oh, hey, check out his dating network/The Onion-esque news site The Impersonals) and voice of clever menswear blog, The Straight Leg, comes in.
On a recent rainy night, I dispatched Matt to cover the opening of the new Frye flagship in SoHo, and let's just say reviews are mixed. Is the big, shiny Frye store worthy of a CLOONEY or is the store leaning a little...TOM CRUISE? What the hell is a Clooney and what does it mean to lean Tom Cruise? I understand your confusion, friend. Click here to read more, for complete and utter illumination, etc.

Dark & Stormy: A Visit to Atelier Minyon
At this point, it's redundant to remind ya'll how much I love for jewelry. How I OBSESS over every piece in my collection and constantly, irrationally add to said collection. While past years have seen my obsession lean toward figural, nature-inspired or lucite pieces, my current (and admittedly, longstanding) weakness is the unexpected, the dark and the edgy.
So, it's surprising that Atelier Minyon, a cozy boutique located in the heart of SoHo, has escaped my notice for so long. Thankfully, I connected with the brand on Twitter and today, paid the store a visit to check out the current collection.
Based in Turkey and specializing in handmade, often one-of-a-kind pieces, there's an awful lot to obsess over in store. Taking their cues from influences as varied as the Ottoman Empire, Troy and Kanji (Japanese characters), the Atelier Minyon design team creates pieces with a serious sense of history - and serious attitude to boot. In fact, for lovers of all things Gothic and dark (i.e. ME), there's a wide variety of skull, snake, dragon and sword designs, all dressed up in diamonds, rubies, emeralds and more.
While the prices at Atelier Minyon lean towards luxe, jewelry IS an investment and pieces like these will last a lifetime. If you're looking for me, I'll be right here, wishing for a big bonus to blow on my very favorite piece - the Spotted Tiger Ring below (it's $11,000). For a peek at a few of my other picks, check out the gallery.
Since photos can't do justice to jewelry like this, visit Atelier Minyon at 155 Spring Street or online at www.minyonusa.com.

Serenity Now: YogaWorks
While I'm not in a serious relationship with yoga, we have had a minor flirtation happening for YEARS now. I've flitted around from studio to studio and style to style, only to discover that I can't really commit to a monogamous relationship; variety is more my bag.
Blessedly, YogaWorks understands me, in all of my complicated glory. This airy, light and modern multi-city studio offers up a sweet mix of classes from their signature style to Vinyasa Flow, Anusara, Mat Pilates and even the Lotte Berk-inspired BarWorks (which I am DYING to compare to Physique 57 and Core Fusion.)
I recently had a chance to host a private class at YogaWorks SoHo with several blogger friends in attendance. Not only was the studio space (above) stunning and immaculate, but the staff was uber-friendly without a hint of pretension. After an invigorating 60 minute class, we left the studio relaxed, refreshed and ready for one heck of a Girl's Night Out.
While yoga works best for me as a once-to-twice a week regime, YogaWorks has enough classes and variety to suit anyone. Check out their locations and schedules online - and if you're not in New York, Los Angeles, Orange County or Northern California, you can snag YogaWorks DVDs for home workouts. They're affordable at just $30.99 for three and once you've had a few classes in a studio to perfect your form, you can work out in the comfort and convenience of your own living room. Love that!
