I've been feeling holographic for days now, if it's possible to feel holographic, that is. The cause of my lament? The Proenza Schouler PS11 mini holographic bag.
An iteration of last season's bolder silver holographic, this more muted version has beckoned me since I spotted it in Intermix last weekend. As I've already begun to bleed money for fall (see recent acquisitions: the J Brand Nicola Leather Moto Pant and the Isabel Marant Dicker bootie in cognac leather), I'm exercising some self-restraint. Helping the cause is essie's new For the Twill of It Nail Polish.
Part of a six lacquer seasonal collection, this gloriously undefinable holographic reads anywhere from charcoal to olive, with flashes of green and pink. While I've yet to dress my own fingers in it, it's hot on my list as soon as the weather cools down a bit.

Gola x Liberty Art Fabrics = A Spring-Perfect Sneaker
Little known fact about me? I was once a sneaker collector. And with last season's resurgence of designer sneakers (I'm 2 pairs of Isabel Marants deep, you guys), my collection keeps accruing - it's a dangerous thing.
My latest addition is a pair of super sweet and ladylike Melly low-tops ($75) from the new Gola collaboration with Liberty Art Fabrics. Liberty's admittedly been everywhere in the past few years (including a multi-season collaboration with Nike), but I'm not yet over their iconic florals, which here add a spring-y freshness and youthfulness to Gola's classic low-top sneaker.
Shop the Gola Liberty collection online here or at ASOS.

A Denim Date with ELLE and Lucky Brand
One look at my Looks to Emulate board on Pinterest, and it’s clear – denim is my go-to wardrobe staple. With the exception of the steamiest summer days, it’s rare that I want to wear much else. So, when Lucky Brand and ELLE invited me to an Exclusive Denim Fitting Party at the brand’s New York showroom, I cancelled all other plans in the books and headed straight into Midtown.
There, I mixed and mingled with fellow bloggers including Wendy of Nitro:licious and Karen of Where Did U Get That? and best of all, the Lucky Brand Design team, including Creative Director Nico Peyrache (below, with moi!) Nico met with each of us individually to help us find the perfect fit in Lucky Brand, and of course, to chat denim needs and desires.
As previously discussed, I’m committed to this all-American fabric (actually – that’s a lie, denim is from de NĂ®mes, France… #themoreyouknow), so I’ve got a closet full of dark denim and full color silhouettes that range from skinny to flare. BUT, what I don’t have is an amazing boyfriend jean, and that’s where Lucky Brand truly delivered, with the Sienna Cigarette.
Made of the softest denim imaginable, the Sienna Cigarette walks the line between easy Sunday denim, and dressed-up, date night denim. They’re truly the only flattering “boyfriend” style I’ve ever put on my body. I plan to wear cuffed with everything from my Isabel Marant wedges to my studded Christian Louboutins – after all, with denim like this, it’s all about embracing the contrast.
Explore the denim democracy that is Lucky Brand (they’ve got styles for all body types) online at LuckyBrand.com.
While all opinions expressed are my own, this post was produced in collaboration with Lucky Brand, ELLE and Style Coalition.

In My Cart: Matches Edition
Girls of a Certain Age, the new-ish blog from former Lucky EIC Kim France, is admittedly one of my favorite sites on the World Wide Web at the moment. One of the funniest, yet most inspiring, recurring features is the "I Can Shop Anywhere Challenge," in which Kim finds items she'd actually wear in the most unexpected of places, i.e. the fashion wasteland that is the FINGERHUT catalog. Admittedly, I'm not so into self-sacrifice (better Kim than I), so for the first in a new "In My Cart,' series, I instead devoted my energies to the carefully edited designer assortment at Matches Fashion, home to men's and women's apparel, along with a bounty of gorge accessories.
If given an unlimited budget, here's my top five:
- Rag & Bone Hubert Tuxedo Jacket: "Dina Fierro died still on the hunt for the perfect tuxedo jacket." may well be included in my obituary. ($574)
- Current Elliott Stiletto Low Rise Skinny: If whimsy and rock and roll mated and had a baby, they would be these star-printed jeans. ($259)
- Alexander McQueen Swarovski crystal Union Jack Clutch:I can't go another season without a McQueen clutch; it would be simply uncivilized. ($1,673)
- Isabel Marant Dicker Suede Boots: I've got a knock off of these from Aldo, and they are, in short, tragic. I'm better than that. You're better than that. We're all better than that. ($420)
- Eddie Borgo Pave Cone Bracelet: Glitter, glam and edge from a CFDA darling. ($1002)

Object of Desire: Nike x Liberty London
Much to the chagrin, surprise, etc. of some of my closest friends, I'm having a real sneaker MOMENT this spring. FIRST, I claimed Isabel Marant's chic but admittedly TRENDY Bobby Low-Top sneakers as my own, and now...this.
THIS being Nike's insanely sweet collab with Liberty London, the Brit department store best known for totes adorbs floral patterns. Available in three classic Nike styles at the moment (more to come!), and in three colorways, this news has me spending cash, money, pounds - 90, to be exact.
Visit Liberty London online to shop, and stay tuned for further styles being delivered later this spring!

Wardrobe Workhorse: The Ankle Boot
I’ve long been a woman of extremes when it comes to footwear. Give me a flat or a sky high heel but nothing in between, a knee high boot or else. An ankle boot merely cuts off my short, stubby little legs off visually, I used to tell myself. Those were lies, however, and this past Fall/Winter, I’ve realized the error of my ways and embraced the ankle boot in a way you can’t imagine. The essentials:
- A relaxed suede bootie with a manageable heel: Isabel Marant does it best (but doesn’t she always), but if the price tag is prohibitive, try a more affordable iteration from Steve Madden or Aldo.
- The f*ck me -no, wait, f*ck YOU - bootie: Dress it up or wear it with nothing at all, it’s at its best in black leather with a pointed toe and a high stiletto heel.
- The peep-toe: I know, I know. A peep-toe bootie (a la the INC jam seen above) is as bad, in theory, as a short sleeve sweater. Yet, for some reason, particularly in transitional Fall and Spring weather, I’ve never had a more versatile shoe. The peep-toe bootie answers the perennial question of what to wear for a night out when temps are in the 50’s or 60’s and a strappier shoe simply won’t do. Give it a try, and you may just be won over.
If your wardrobe is lacking, shop a wide assortment of Anne Klein boots + more at Macys.com.

Fashion Bucket List: Isabel Marant Bobby Low-Top Sneaker
Confession time. Today, I did a pretty shameful thing. Namely, I went to the Isabel Marant store in SoHo and I added myself to a WAIT LIST for $680 SNEAKERS -namely the Bobby Low-Top Sneaker seen above.
These suede beauts are quintessentially Marant, y'all - insanely chic without a hint of pretension - and I can no longer deny their allure. And while they are indeed cas and innately low-key, they also hide a sneaky little secret - namely a 3" hidden wedge heel. Comfortable and chic are no longer a contradiction, and we all have Isabel Marant to thank.
To pre-order the Bobby's online (limited sizes available), visit La Garconne.
