On My Radar: OPELLE's Fur Pochette
As a lover of animals, I sometimes struggle with the love I also have for things like, oh, bacon and leather pants. Falling within the same camp, though seemingly far worse to many, is fur (GLORIOUS FUR), of which I have been known to imbibe on more than one occasion. With winter close approaching, I've currently got my eye on THIS, an adorbsies Mini Pochette in Grey Rabbit by OPELLE.
Comprised of recycled materials including repurposed rabbit fur, I can feel a bit less guilty about indulging.

The Relentless Purse-Uit of Power
As a New Yorker who’s constantly, blessedly on the go, my long days are powered by just a precious few things, most notably coffee (iced, with real sugar and half & half, please), my Metrocard and my handbag.
Everything I need to go from breakfast meeting to evening cocktails is tucked inside my purse, but at the same time I do my best to carry just the essentials, essentially just what you see below:

- Mophie Juice Pack Reserve Portable iPhone Charger (must, must, must!)

Cheap Thrill: Rebecca Minkoff Delight Bag for mark
Rebecca Minkoff has long been a designer that I admire - not only for her amazing personal style, or the totes gorge bags, accessories, shoes and apparel that she designs, but also because, at her core, she's an entrepreneur. That was validated for me tonight at a very special event at the Mondrian SoHo to celebrate her new collaboration with mark.
Seen above with former CNBC correspondent and personal finance expert Nicole Lapin, Minkoff answered fashion and business questions from bloggers and mark representatives alike, and ALSO introduced us to the new, mark-exclusive Delight bag. A STEAL at just $60, it looks as luxe (seriously!) as a bag from Minkoff's signature collection, but with a few compromises made in terms of fabrication - meaning, yes, it's pleather, not leather.
I love the Delight for its versatility - try wearing it with the strap tucked in as an oversized clutch, cross-body or on your shoulder - it's generously sized to go from day to night and even better are the super-edgy details, including studding and an oversized buckle.

There are blogs that I rely on for fashion news and blogs that I rely on for runway reviews. Blogs that I read for the best in beauty and blogs that I love for the great shopping tips they deliver. And then there are the VERY FEW blogs that I read that deliver on all of the above.
One of those select sites is Second City Style, founded by Chicago-native (now New Yorker) Lauren Dimet Waters. Lauren's a master of high low style, and like myself she's a cargo aficionado. Thankfully, she agreed to open up her gorgeous YSL Muse for our perusal. Here's what she's toting:

What's in His Bag? Be & D Creative Director Steve Dumain
There are a lot of things that I love about being a woman, but near the very top of that list is my inate RIGHT TO ACCESSORIZE. I often feel sorry for the gents of the world, who are, TOO OFTEN, left to live their lives without amazing jewelry, deliciously impractical heels and of course, bags, bags, and more bags.
But all the rules go out the window when your name is Steve Dumain and you're the creative director of Be & D, one of the hottest accessory brands around.
For those not in the know, Be & D has created MANY objects that I desire, most notably the iconic studded Garbo bag and the DIVINE new Jefferson Bucket Bag, which will undoubtedly be the death of me. Or my budget. To-MAY-to. To-MAH-to. This bag needs a home and that home is in my closet.
But I digress.
Steve himself was kind enough to share what's in HIS satchel, a custom-made school bag (but of course!) In his own words, here's what he's packing:

OOTD: Woman in Black
Steamy weather has certainly arrived, but despite the fact, yesterday felt like a day for embracing black. Before you ask, no, I'm not in mourning, but black is a power color and one with a perennial place in my wardrobe (seasonality be damned!)
Yesterday was particularly notable as it marked my acquisition of my second Coach piece - the gorgeous leather satchel shown above. It will hold a place of honor in my closet, along with the amazing Sara boots.

All Win, All the Time: Balenciaga Covered Giant City
I don't buy handbags very often (maybe twice a year), but when I do, I aim to make a statement. And despite the fact that I experienced positively dreadful customer service at Balenciaga last year, the Covered Giant City has been calling to me for some time.
So, this week, I caved. And while I debated snagging the Anthracite (who doesn't need a perfect gray bag?), I ultimately chose a bolder color (as I am always prone to do!) in Raisin. As you can see above, Raisin is a true purple (the word means "Grape" in French) and I can't wait to pair it with all sorts of fall hues this season.
